چکیده

Objectives We aimed to investigate the effects of juglone on angiogenesis, metastasis and cell proliferation processes in pancreatic cancer (PC) understand whether its possible occur via Wnt signaling pathway by analyzing expression levels target genes signaling. Background PC is a silent lethal type which can only be detectable after angiogenesis occured. The one pathways that plays an active role many biological cell. Mutations this are related development cancers. Juglone, natural compound, shown have cytotoxic apoptotic various cells. Methods PANC-1 BxPC-3 cells were treated with at Results Juglone seems able inhibit affecting activity human lines. Conclusion has promising potential develop new strategies for treatment (Tab. 2, Fig. 4, Ref. 35).

Targeting PP2A activates AMPK signaling to inhibit colorectal cancer cells

LB-100 is a novel PP2A inhibitor. Its activity in human colorectal cancer (CRC) cells was tested. The in vitro studies demonstrated that LB-100 inhibited survival and proliferation of both established CRC cells (HCT-116 and HT-29 lines) and primary human colon cancer cells. Further, LB-100 activated apoptosis and induced G1-S cell cycle arrest in CRC cells. LB-100 inhibited PP2A activity and ac...

FH535 Inhibits Proliferation and Motility of Colon Cancer Cells by Targeting Wnt/β-catenin Signaling Pathway

Aberrant Wnt/β-catenin pathway activation is frequently observed in human colorectal cancer (CRC) and has become a promising target for CRC treatment. Our study aimed to evaluate the effect of FH535, a small molecule inhibitor of Wnt/β-catenin pathway, on two colon cancer cell lines, HT29 and SW480. We found FH535 significantly inhibited colon cancer cell proliferation in vitro and induced cell...

Targeting phospholipase D1 attenuates intestinal tumorigenesis by controlling β-catenin signaling in cancer-initiating cells

Expression of the Wnt target gene phospholipase D1 (PLD1) is up-regulated in various carcinomas, including colorectal cancer (CRC). However, the mechanistic significance of its elevated expression in intestinal tumorigenesis remains unknown. In this study, we show that genetic and pharmacological targeting of PLD1 disrupts spontaneous and colitis-associated intestinal tumorigenesis in Apc(Min/+...

Targeting Apoptosis Signaling in Pancreatic Cancer

The ability to escape apoptosis or programmed cell death is a hallmark of human cancers, for example pancreatic cancer. This can promote tumorigenesis, since too little cell death by apoptosis disturbs tissue homeostasis. Additionally, defective apoptosis signaling is the underlying cause of failure to respond to current treatment approaches, since therapy-mediated antitumor activity requires t...

The Role of miRNA Dysregulation in Thyroid Cancer Development by Targeting the Main Signaling Pathways

Thyroid cancer is one of the most common malignancies of endocrine glands, causing carcinomas, such as papillary, follicular, medullary, and anaplastic thyroid carcinomas. Due to the significance of thyroid carcinomas, identification of the main signaling pathways and  the affecting mutations has been considered by researchers. Further studies on the dysregulation of oncogenes in signaling path...
